Day 44

My good friends Justin and Zoe had a baby this past Tuesday (congrats guys!). As I was holding little baby Elliot in the hospital on Thursday, I was deeply moved, and reminded of God's goodness. This little baby was just revealed to his parents when he was born, but he has already been known to God. Wait a second...what? He has already been known to God. Think about that, and let it blow your mind for a few minutes. I mean, I've known that truth, but it really hit me in a new way this past week as I let it sink deeply in to my spirit. Then I thought of some other truths of God: He has a plan for Elliot's life; He wants a relationship with him; He has made a way for relationship with him, and..., and...

As you continue the 60-60, let the truths of our amazing God blow you away, and let them lead you to love (for Him and people) and action!

Speaking of things blowing us away, here were some answers from our teen group to the "What surprised you?" question in the "Interview with the Future You" experience this week.

- I already knew what I had to do [to get to where the Future Me was spiritually]. I didn't know it until the question was asked, but when it was, I realized I already knew the answer.
- I'm very materialistic.
- Seeing the Future Me makes me see the "flaws" in me really clearly.
- I have a hard time saying no to people and that puts God on the backburner.
- I realized how much more confident and less stressed I could be.
- When I see the Future Me, I am the opposite of who I am now.
- I like who I am as the Future Me more.

Some of the answers were so honest and profound in their simplicity, that I found myself jotting them down as we went around the circle. This exercise required everyone to share, and I appreciated the courage everyone showed in sharing honestly.
